  • From 1980s – mid 1990s there was a trend in treatment towards chemotherapy and radiation and away from surgery for laryngeal cancer
  • Within this time period, there was an associated decline in 5-year survival in patients with laryngeal cancer, suggesting CRT is worse than surgery.
